Youth in Engineering Forum – 2025

The Engineering Registration Board (ERB) hosted the Youth in Engineering Forum 2025 where young inventors met under the auspices of the Seris Foundation to showcase creative concepts with the potential to transform society and the innovation industry in Tanzania.

Among the standouts were Eng. Melkizedeck Mnyenyelwa and team, who are paving the way with Bamboo Briquettes – a clean, cost-effective alternative to charcoal made from bamboo and rice husks. The other standout presentation was that of Smartovate Group, the developers of a Smart Egg Incubator that harnesses technology to make poultry rearing more efficient, reduce losses, and increase incomes for small farmers.

The forum was a great place to learn, network with stakeholders, and be exposed to markets, offering this young pioneer a chance to transform obstacles into real opportunities.
